Hawkeye Cockroach Bait is a scientifically developed highly attractive bait that kills roaches by ingestion and contact, and spreads from roach to roach to kill even the hiding population of roaches that you can’t see. Hawkeye Roach Gel has a slower kill that allows the active indoxacarb to spread more thoroughly through the roach population.

Place the Hawkeye applicator dots under or behind any furniture, under the sink in the kitchen and bathroom, next to the dishwasher, in cabinet, behind fridge, freezer and the oven where cockroach infestation is found and apply Hawkeye Cockroach Bait on the dots on the marked area (dime sized). Also apply Hawkeye roach bait in cracks and crevices.

Put the applicator dots close to areas that roaches frequent (cracks and crevices). Roaches do not need to feed everyday so only some of the roaches will emerge to search for food each day, so the closer the bait is to them, the better.

If you have a large infestation, place the dot applicators about 3 inches apart in several locations at the same time. For smaller colonies, they can be placed 2 to 3 feet apart. Focus on the kitchen and bathroom more. They are the most likely cockroach hiding spots.

Monitor and reapply- Keep an eye on the amount of bait fed and check back every couple of days. Reapply on the bait on the dot applicators if all is gone until you see no more feeding or cockroach movement or droppings (if that was the case before).

Note: If it looks like the Hawkeye Cockroach Bait has not been frequented by roaches, then try changing the placement of the dot applicators to another location in the house and checking again in a couple days.

Do not spray around your dot placements with cleaning agents or other insecticides, as this can discourage cockroaches from taking the bait.

What is the active ingredient?

Hawkeye Cockroach Bait contains 0.6% Indoxacarb

Is it dangerous?

Indoxacarb has a low mammalian toxicity and is one of the safer insecticide active ingredients available to people and pets. The product itself is no more toxic than table salt (but it still should not be consumed).

How long does it take to work?

You can start seeing dead roaches within 5-6 hours and should start to see significant reduction in roach infestation within a week. After 2 weeks, over 90% of roaches should be dead with Hawkeye Cockroach bait under average to medium infestation levels. At that point, you will see very few emerging from hiding. Still, you should continue to apply tiny drops of gel bait until you stop seeing roach activity or no feeding over the bait gel.

How do I know if the roach bait is working?

The number one sign is fewer cockroaches out in the open. You should also find fewer droppings (if that has been a problem). Remember to keep an eye on the bait. At first, if it is disappearing quickly, that means the roaches are feeding on it and it should be doing its job. Later, as it kills the pests, you should find more left over when it is time to reapply.

Can roaches come back again once the whole population is killed?

Reinfestations can occur depending on the species involved and your house location. Roaches regularly enter buildings inhabited by humans to look for warm, damp environments in close proximity to food and water sources. Sometimes they are drawn to homes due to messy conditions e.g. dirty counters, open food containers etc. Sometimes, roaches will invade a home simply because it is easily accessible. Buildings with many cracks and crevices (such as openings around windows, doors, pipes, and so on) are particularly susceptible to roach invasions. Sealing outside cracks and holes in walls, can help limit such invasions.

Can you provide more detailed advice on eliminating roaches in my specific situation?

Yes, definitely! We are happy to help you get the best result from our products. Please contact us to discuss the details of your problem and we will advise on what to use, where to place it and when. Photos are a great help.

Hawkeye cockroach Bait is a combination of slow acting insecticide (indoxacarb 0.6%) and food attractants. It attracts roaches to find and eat the baits poisonous active.

The delayed action allows the active to spread more thoroughly through the roach population from roach to roach, reducing the population from within and resulting in an effective control wiping the whole colony out

Roaches begin to die after 5-6 hours of ingesting bait.

It usually is not necessary to empty kitchen cabinets or cover food preparation surfaces before applying Hawkeye Cockroach Bait.
Hawkeye Cockroach Bait wipes out an average to medium roach population in 1-2 weeks but can take about 4 weeks under high infestation levels. Under high infestation levels though it is good to apply Hawkeye Flea, Ant and Roach Spray for a quick knock down of highly active roaches.

One 15 gram tube of Hawkeye Cockroach bait is sufficient to kill an average infestation of cockroaches in houses or commercial kitchens. It gives a long lasting effect and is recommended for damp areas.

Hawkeye Cockroach Bait is of minimal hazard to children or pets and the benefit of placing it in hard to reach areas away from the reach of pets and children further reduces the risk.
